1920 – 2015

AUBURN — Lucien J. Poisson, 95, formerly of Lewiston, died in Auburn on Tuesday, Sept. 29, with his family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on Sept. 6, 1920, the son of Willie and Eva (Lavoie) Poisson and attended Lewiston and Auburn schools.

Lucien later served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In August of 1945, Lucien married Lucienne Larochelle. She died on Jan. 20, 2010.

Lucien was an avid Boston Bruins fan, loved going out to eat and enjoyed watching car auctions on TV. He was also a longtime member of the former American Legion Post 22 and Holy Family Church.

He is survived by his sons, Roger and wife, Dolores, of Auburn, Donald of Lewiston, Denis and wife, Lillian, of Greene and Julien of Wales; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; his brother, Rosaire and wife, Albertine, of Lewiston; and by many nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Adrian.
