Sabattus Group Runs open to the public

The Sabattus Rec Club Running Program will continue to hold its free, open Group Runs on Wednesday nights throughout the year. These are social, supportive runs that encourage runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages and abilities to get out and exercise.

The group meets in the Mixer’s parking lot at the Sabattus Mini Mall and the runs begin at 6 p.m. each week, barring nclement weather. Participants are free to choose their own routes, distance, and pace, but most are done within 30-45 minutes. A few minutes of stretching and socializing usually follow.

There is no cost or official membership required.

Anyone wishing to join in is welcome, but should dress accordingly in the fall and winter months — reflective gear, lights, and layers are all suggested.

For more info, please check out the Sabattus Rec Club Running Program Facebook page, email running@sabattusrec.com or go to sabattusrec.com and click on the running tab.
