Garrett Poussard caught a 55-yard screen pass from Jared Rubin and scooted to the end zone. Brock Belanger’s conversion pass to Ed Turgeon kept it close before the Spartans (2-3) squirmed away with the help of a shanked punt in the final minute of the half.
