Grange to confer Pomona Degree

MINOT — Androscoggin Pomona Grange 1 will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at West Minot Grange, corner of Routes 119 and 124. There will be a 6:30 p.m. supper and 7:30 meeting. Supper cost is $5.

During the meeting the officers will confer the 5th Degree, also called the Degree of Pomona. They expect to have around 10 candidates. Members will also select delegates to attend the 142nd annual session of the Maine State Grange later this month.

Church to host dedication Oct. 11

DANVILLE — Danville Union Church will dedicate a Memorial Wall to honor those members who worked over the years to preserve a religious presence in Danville Junction at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 11.

The dedication with names and pictures will be part of the regular church service.

Anyone interested may attend.

Golden Age Club to meet

AUBURN — IHM Golden Age Club will meet at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct 13, at Sacred Heart Church hall.

Following a social hour, there will be a lasagna dinner with assorted desserts and conclude with a short meeting. 

Reservations must be made by Sunday, Oct. 11. New members welcomed, age 50 and older.
