I am a young professional with a growing family who has lived and worked in downtown Lewiston for nearly 10 years. Like others, I have made a conscious choice to invest in Lewiston because I have witnessed considerable positive energy and growth and see great potential for this city and its diverse people.
I am in favor of any mayoral candidate who can recognize and capitalize on that positive growth through innovation, creative problem solving, sensible planning and, most importantly, a practice of unifying rather dividing its citizens.
It is clear to me that candidate is Ben Chin. He has the vision and capacity to move this city forward.
If Lewiston wants to continue in a positive direction and keep its young people investing, residents need to steer away from politicians who incite division and perpetuate negative stereotypes.
Lewiston needs a strong leader and advocate.
Ben Chin has my vote.
