1961 – 2015
AUBURN — Philip L. Whitmore, also known as “Little Man,” passed away unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 9.
He was born Aug. 28, 1961, in Augusta, the son of Philip and Irene Whitmore of Buckfield.
Philip worked for Tri-City Insulation for three years and prior to that, for Reynolds Tree Service for 22 years.
Philip was known for his good nature, sense of humor and kind heart. He always had a smile on his face and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
Philip could always be found in the woods, chopping, splitting and stacking wood, or fishing with his children, nieces and nephews.
Philip is survived by his four children, Philip Jr., Chassie, Jake and Sarah; along with his six grandchildren. He is also survived by his parents, Philip and Irene Whitmore; three sisters, Jane, Janet and Jamie; and his three brothers, Preston, Tim and Jim. He has several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Philip will be missed by family and friends.
