WEST PARIS — The West Paris General Store will hold the Great Pumpkin Carving Contest on Halloween Day on Saturday, Oct. 31. 

Two $25 gift certificates will be given to the best pumpkin carved by any child from West Paris sixth grade or younger, and any child or adult seventh grade or older.  The jack-o’-lanterns will be judged by local artist Mikki Liimatta.

Please drop off carved pumpkins at the General Store Friday, Oct. 30 or Saturday morning. Make sure your name and number are on the bottom. Twenty pumpkins have been donated for this event by Cooper Farms.
