FARMINGTON — New Ventures Maine, formerly known as Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community, is offering a free workshop, “Intro to Self-Employment,” from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at the New Ventures Maine office, 109 Perham St., Suite 2, in Farmington.
This introductory workshop will help attendees decide if self-employment is the right choice for them. The class covers the pros and cons of owning a business, the steps needed to get started, the major elements of a business plan and the many resources available.
