ORONO – EMHS has announced the pending purchase of the Dirigo Pines campus by CPF Senior Living Acquisitions, LLC, which will partner with Grace Management, Inc. for ongoing management services. Dirigo Pines is currently owned by two EMHS member organizations, Rosscare and Affiliated Healthcare Systems.

“During the last several years, EMHS has evaluated the opportunity to seek a partner or purchaser that reflects our commitment to quality and excellence in senior living community services,” said Lisa Harvey-McPherson, vice president of continuum of care. “The CPF/Grace Management combination is highly respected in the senior living sector and meets our standards in every respect.”

Both organizations exhibit the expertise and values that are needed to best serve Dirigo Pines today and in future years. John Rijos, chairman and chief executive officer of CPF Senior Living Acquisitions, serves as a national leader in senior living community management with expertise in his former role as co-president and chief operating officer of Brookdale Senior Living from 2000 to 2013 —a nationally known company specializing in senior living. Grace Management, established in 1984, is a national leader in development, management, and marketing of senior living communities and has partnered with CPF on numerous projects.

“This is an exciting time for Dirigo Pines,” said JoAnn Gallant, executive director of Dirigo Pines. “Athough our community has been served well under EMHS’ leadership, this change brings many beneficial opportunities.”

Transfer of ownership is expected sometime by early December. Dirigo Pines does not expect any changes to its workforce as a result of this transaction.
