1933 – 2015
AUBURN — Romeo N. Bouchard Jr., 82, a resident of Middle Road, Sabattus, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Hospice House after a long illness with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Lewiston on July 4, 1933, the son of Romeo and Simonne (Cloutier) Bouchard Sr.
Romeo was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and married the former Rena Long on April 19, 1952.
He was employed over 40 years at the former Gould & Scammon, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Holy Family Church and the DAV.
Romeo loved his family and always encouraged family Sunday get-togethers, as sharing family time was a priority in the Bouchard household, all of whom were very important in his life.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing and playing bingo.
Survivors include his wife, Rena; one son, Lenny Bouchard and wife, Marianne; two daughters, Cathy and Lisa (Tremblay) Bouchard; two brothers, Maurice Bouchard and wife, Margaret, and Thomas Bouchard and wife, Sheila; and one half-sister, Lucille Gagnon; as well as four grandchildren, Rosalie, Courtney, Austin and Hunter.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Carl; a brother, Paul; and a sister, Brenda.
