2011 – 2015

NEW SHARON — Addilyn Sophia Davis peacefully earned her angel wings while wrapped in her mother’s loving arms on Wednesday, Oct. 21. She was just 4 years old; however, she defied the odds by the two-year life expectancy of Krabbe disease (globoid cell leukodystrophy) with which she suffered since birth.

Addilyn was a brave little girl who made an everlasting impact on the hearts of so many — all without speaking a word. Addilyn touched the lives of hundreds of thousands in her brief lifetime. Addilyn’s journey taught various lessons and changed lives for the better. Her life was a delicate, fragile, precious gift. Her fight was faithful, fierce, courageous and inspiring.

The legacy she leaves behind is a memorable one — she fought to save the lives of innocent children. Her family will continue to raise awareness and advocate for Krabbe screening at birth. Through these things, they are certain her legacy will live on.

Her family and friends, who are also known as Team Addilyn, will forever honor and cherish the time they were graced to be in the presence of an angel — their sweet, beautiful baby Addilyn.

Addilyn is survived by her parents, Jamie and Kyle Davis; her younger sister, Rilyn; her grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; and her very special friend, Kilee Mae.
