With regard to the Lewiston mayoral race, I would like to say a word on behalf of Steve Morgan, one of the three “other candidates,” as they are so often referred to.
He has been a member of the Lewiston Planning Board, the Railroad Committee and the City Council, where he served as president. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was employed by BIW for over 10 years as an electrician, welder and was a staunch union member. He knows what a hard day’s work is.
Now a local real estate agent, he has been one of the state’s busiest and most successful brokers for many years. He believes in community service and was active in Lewiston’s Little League.
Today, he volunteers time with the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Springfield, Mass., serving on the board of directors.
As his brother, I know Lewiston would be well served by Steve Morgan.
Jim Morgan, Gorham
