The theme for this year’s display was “Gift Giving,” and included baby items, hats, mittens, socks, finger-less gloves, scarfs, jewelry made by knitting on wire, Christmas stockings, lap robes, prayer shawls, bash and dish cloths.
Several members donated items for the exhibit.
At the October meeting, 20 purple baby hats were donated to Stephens Memorial Hospital for the “Don’t Shake Jake Program.” These hats will be given to the parents of newborns. Each year Western Maine Knitting Guild supports this program in addition to giving baby hats to the hospital throughout the year.
