LEWISTON — At 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8,  Maine Friends of Music will perform “Baroque and Beyond,” a free public concert at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, 122 Ash St. This program will include Vivaldi’s Trio in A Minor, Bach’s Flute Sonata #1, Rodrigo’s Four Madrigals of Love, as well as works by Scarlatti, Gershwin, and others.

Maine Friends of Music, a professional chamber ensemble, features flutist Linda Brunner, keyboardist Sean Fleming, and bassoonist David DeBolt. This highly pedigreed trio has performed internationally as well as in a variety of Maine musical venues. While the majority of their repertoire is 18th-century Baroque, they also include later works and new musical compositions.

They will be joined by soprano Mary Sullivan, Maine Friends of Music’s 2015 guest artist.
