TURNER — Three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a crash on Route 4 on Wednesday evening.

State Police Trooper Nathan Jamo said Darcy Croteau, 54, of Poland was turning right at the intersection of County Road and Route 4 when she pulled out in front of Nimo Abdillahi, 34, of Lewiston, who was also going south.

Jamo said Croteau and another witness both told him Abdillahi didn’t have her headlights on.

“It was a little past dusk and rainy; (Croteau) said she never saw them,” he said.

Abdillahi and two young passengers were taken to Central Maine Medical Center to be evaluated and were released Wednesday night.

Both vehicles, Croteau’s Pontiac Bonneville and Abdillahi’s Toyota Prius, were total losses.
