WILTON — Police said a 15-year-old Wilton resident is charged with breaking into eight vehicles since the weekend of Oct. 24.

At first, police charged the juvenile with seven burglaries, and then he was charged with breaking into an eighth vehicle last weekend on Stockford Avenue, Wilton Police Chief Heidi Wilcox said. Some miscellaneous items were taken.

Burglaries occurred around Curve Street and the parking area behind Brookside Gym over the first weekend. Another was reported from the Barclaycard parking lot, she said.

A laptop, DeWalt tool chest and other smaller items were reported missing. Some stolen items have been recovered, she said.

A ninth car burglary is still under investigation. All nine vehicles were unlocked, she said.

The juvenile will face charges through the juvenile corrections system, she said.
