BUXTON — Bonny Eagle High School confirms that a student was killed in a crash overnight on Turkey Lane in Buxton.
Buxton police say the accident happened about 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police say three people were transported to a local hospital with “significant injuries.” A fourth person was declared deceased at the scene.
The school confirms that at least two of those injured are also students at Bonny Eagle.
No names have been released at this time.
In a statement from Bonny Eagle, the school says a “crisis team has been engaged to support all staff and students during this difficult time.”
