1924 – 2015

BRUNSWICK — Lorraine E. Durisko, 91, of Durisko Lane in Lisbon Falls died Thursday, Nov. 5, at Mid Coast Hospital, with her loving family at her side.

She was born in Topsham on May 24, 1924, the daughter of the late Oliver and Beatrice (Finn) Livernois. She was educated at St. John’s School in Brunswick.

Lorraine married her true love, Andrew Durisko, on Sept. 6, 1948, and they settled in Lisbon Falls to start a family. Together they also owned and operated Town Cleaners, Coinamatic Laundromat Montgomery Ward’s Catalog Store and Durisko Real Estate. Her favorite job was raising her three children.

Lorraine was a very active member of the former Saints Cyril & Methodist Church and was now a member of St. John’s in Brunswick. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, going to Foxwoods and spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons, Matthew Durisko and his wife, Sheila, of Lisbon Falls, Mark Durisko and his wife, Pamela, of Durham; a daughter, Marie Webb and husband, Ronald, of Pittston; seven grandchildren, Karen, Matthew, Luke, Marcea, Zachary, Joshua and Melissa; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Andrew, on Dec. 30, 2011.
