MINOT — The Minot Historical Society met at the Town Office on Oct. 13 with the director of the Muskie Archives at Bates College, Pat Webber, as the speaker.

He discussed collecting memorabilia stored in several buildings at the college and establishing the current Muskie Archives building. He provided tips on processing family papers, scrapbooks and photographs so that they will last. He was introduced by Nicole Hastings, who teaches at Bates College.

The Junior History Club, which meets at the Minot Consolidated school, will meet on Wednesday afternoons this year.

The Society has changed the next meeting date to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Town Office.

The event is open to the public.
