1952 – 2015

AUBURN — Donna Denise Ring, 63, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 14, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Poland, Feb. 26, 1952, to Merle and Lorraine (Edwards)

Thurlow. Through the years she held many jobs, but her last and favorite was being the self-employed owner of Ring’s Quick Stop in Auburn with her husband of 43 years, Philip Ring.

Born the fourth of 11 children, she found comfort being surrounded by family and friends. In her younger years she enjoyed going to Beano with her mother. She loved music, cribbage and poker, playing horseshoes and camping with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Lorraine and Forest Strout, and Merle Thurlow.

She is survived by her husband, Philip E. Ring of Auburn; daughters, Annette Woodbury of Woolwich and Pamela Winslow of Mechanic Falls; grandchildren, Robyn Woodbury of Falmouth, Ryan Woodbury of Rome, Cody Kalinka of Poland, Alexis Winslow of Mechanic Falls; her great-grandson, Owen Surque of Falmouth; sisters, Vicki Bisbee Ward, Carla Stanton and Lorrie Emery; brothers, Gary Thurlow, Jeff Thurlow, Keith Thurlow, Brian Thurlow, Kim Thurlow, Dana Thurlow and Darren Strout; half brother, Scott Bryer; half sister, Rayanne Bryer; several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
