LEWISTON — On Veterans Day, in honor and tribute to all veterans, the Vietnam Vets USA MC commemorated the day in a special flag raising ceremony at the Ramada Inn . The program was coordinated by Jim Higgins (Dawg) of the Vietnam Vets USA MC.

In addition to a new American Flag, a POW/MIA recognition flag was presented by Daniel Long (Grizz), a member of the Vietnam Vets USA MC group.

The POW/MIA flag honors this Nation’s prisoners of war, those still missing and their families and highlights the government’s commitment to account for them. There are mopre than 500 citizens of Maine who remain unaccounted for as a result of their valiant service to this Country.
