UMC to host bean supper

AUBURN — The United Methodist Church will host a bean and casserole supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28.

Cost of admission is $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger.

Bean, ham supper planned

LISBON FALLS — The Methodist Women will host a homemade baked bean and ham supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Lisbon United Methodist Church on School Street.

The cost for the meal is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12, and free for kids 5 and younger.

Kevin Mannix to speak at Auburn Library

AUBURN — Kevin Mannix and his wife, Linda Rota, will talk about their new autobiography, “Weathering Shame,” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Auburn Public Library.

In the book, the authors share their life experiences, lessons, struggles and feelings of shame and the stigma that results from growing up exposed to alcoholism, severe depression and suicide.
