1926 – 2015

TUCSON, Ariz. — Beatrice Kuhn, 89, of Livermore Falls, died on Wednesday evening, Nov. 18, at the home she shared with her daughter in Tucson, Ariz., with her daughter at her side.

Beatrice was born on Feb. 1, 1926, in Shirley, Mass., to John and Mary Peneseau. She had one older sister, a younger brother and a sister who died in infancy. She grew up in Shirley, but in her early 20s moved out West, to Tulsa, Okla. She met her husband Milos there and they were married on May 9, 1964. They had one daughter, Olga. The family moved to Richardson, Texas, where they lived for 9 years and then back to Oklahoma, to Bartlesville, where they lived for another 9 years. During these years, mother and daughter enjoyed cross-country summer vacation drives to visit relatives in Massachusetts, often going through Canada and getting to know some places in Ontario and in Quebec, where a part of her family was from.

In 1987, after Milos retired, the family moved to Livermore Falls. Beatrice was active with the St. John’s Hospital Auxiliary in Tulsa, Okla., and for many years in Maine with the Literacy Volunteers. After Milos’ death, she spent some winters in Tucson, Ariz., with her daughter Olga. She enjoyed gardening, rock collecting, long and short drives, taking care of her cats and going to the beach.

She leaves behind her daughter, Olga.

She was predeceased by her husband, Milos; by her sisters and brother; and many friends.

Her daughter knew her mother’s great love for her and saw her generosity and care for others. She will be dearly missed.
