1929 – 2015

BRYANT POND — Kenneth E. Cunningham, 85, passed away Friday, Nov. 27, in Bryant Pond.

The son of Clinton W. and Teresa (Sidelinger) Cunningham, Ken was born in Chelsea on Dec. 14, 1929. He was educated in local schools and graduated from Cony High School in Augusta in 1948. In April 1951 he entered the U.S. Army and served two years in Korea. He married Ruth Tozier in November 1953. In 1955 he was employed by the City of Caribou Public Works Department and retired in 1991.

Ken was always more than willing to help out anyone in need with the repair of nearly anything and will be remembered by the many that he touched. Ken loved camping; he and Ruth spent many memorable years exploring the country in their travel trailer. Ken was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Bethel for more than twenty years.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul K. and Lynn of Arrowsic and Craig P. and Lora of Kennebunk; as well as three granddaughters, Lindsay Baker, Kaitlyn Morse and Hannah Cunningham; and one grandson, Jared Cunningham; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter. He is also survived by a brother, Clinton of Augusta; and a sister, Frances Quintal of West Gardiner.
