LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will host the first workshop in the Chamber Financial Series: Battling Cyber Criminals — Protecting Yourself During The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

It will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, in the chamber’s conference room at 415 Lisbon St., Lewiston.

Bob Rand, VP, ISO,  of Androscoggin Bank will be the presenter. He works on the front line of the cyberwar, trying to identify, protect, detect, respond and recover from cyberattacks. Through the years, he has seen a lot and learned a lot about how to mitigate risks and balance security, costs and ease of use. The best defense is to prepare, understand and share.
