BRIDGTON — Gallery 302 welcomes jeweler Laura Guptill as the final guest artist in its series of visiting artists. She has been making jewelry for more than 36 years. Her own studio in the Mt. Washington Valley of New Hampshire is where she pursues her passion full time.

“I make each and every piece, one at a time, with my own hands. I work in the old traditional metalsmithing style, paying close attention to detail, making many of my own findings and working ‘green’.”She uses recycled metals whenever possible and purchases metals and gems from reputable and ecologically minded companies. Most of her pieces are one-of-a-kind.

A reception for the artist will be held at the Gallery from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5. Located in Bridgton, Gallery 302 is a multi-media gallery with more than 40 artists working in clay, glass, fiber, oils, acrylics, photography, prints, wood and pastels.

The exhibit of artisan jewelry by Guptill will run from through Dec. 31.
