Promising newcomers: Boys: Freshmen — Sam Smith, James Guilluame; Girls: Freshmen — Jenna Hanrahan, Ashley Wiles, Rylee Briggs, Marielle Pelletier, Katie Brittain.
Season outlook: After last year’s very successful season, the boys’ team is seriously looking to repeat as champions at both KVACs and states. A couple of key loses, Mitch Haines and Anthony Franchetti, will hurt, but the incoming freshmen are more than capable to fill those openings. All five of the girls coming to the high school program have extensive race experience and should make the transition into high school racing very easily and quickly. Even though they are young and inexperienced at the high school level, Coach Cyr expects them to score very high at the conference and state championships.
