BRUNSWICK (AP) — Police in Brunswick are investigating a report from a female student at Bowdoin College who says she was grabbed by a man while she was walking alone over the weekend.
The Portland Press Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1Yh7MAT ) the student notified Bowdoin Security that she was snatched from behind by an unknown man around 1:40 a.m. Sunday while walking along Longfellow Avenue toward the Brunswick Apartments.
The student was able to break free and flee to meet friends. She was unharmed.
The incident comes on the heels of reports of a rape and attempted assault that occurred near Bowdoin’s campus in November.
The suspect is described as being 30 to 35 years old, roughly 6 feet tall, with a skinny build and very short dark hair and eyes.
