BERLIN, N.H. – Colleen and Erin Searson, sisters who have been playing music for most of their lives, will bring their original style of Canadian Celtic pop to Berlin at 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, at St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts, 115 Emery St.

Tickets, $15 for adults and $10 for those under 18, may be purchased at the center’s office, online at catamountarts.org, or at the door.

Searson has been touring for more than a decade throughout Canada, the United States, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland and the Caribbean performing high energy fiddling, passionate vocals and step dancing.

The concert kicks off St. Kieran’s 2016 concert series.

Growing up in the Ottawa Valley, Ontario, Canada, these sisters began to study music and step dancing at a very young age, performing locally and competing at step dance and fiddle contests. Erin began her classical piano training with the Royal Conservatory of music at age 4. Colleen, since the age of 9, has been studying violin and fiddle methods from all styles around the world.

In 2014, Searson made its debut performance at the Milwaukee Irish Fest, dubbed the “world’s largest Irish festival.”
