SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce announces the 2016 Business and Community Award winners.

The Business of the Year is Maine Machine Products in Paris, which has been a part of the Oxford Hills community for more than 50 years. The company is a leading diversified manufacturer of high tolerance precision machined components and assemblies. It employs 135 people.

The Rising Star of the Year is C & C Farm and Old Squire’s Farm Market of Norway. The farm sells all-natural meat products at its storefront on Main Street in Norway. The farm’s owner, Mike Cullinan, also created space next to his storefront for Old Squire’s Farm Market, a year-round indoor farmer’s market.

The Employee of the Year is Gail Castonguay, a registered nurse with Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice. She started working for the agency in 1983 and is the manager and supervisor of the Norway Office.

The Community Service Award Winner is county Sheriff Wayne Gallant who has worked in law enforcement for 40 years and is serving his third four-year term as sheriff. He is an Army veteran.

“Every year, we solicit nominations for our annual awards from our members as well as members of the general public,” John Williams, chamber executive director, said. “All the nominations are reviewed by the board of the directors and then voted on by secret ballot during the board meeting.”

Recipients will be honored at the annual Awards Banquet on Saturday, March 5, at the Four Seasons Function Center, Route 26.
