LEWISTON — New Ventures Maine announces the addition of Chris Davis to the new Workforce Specialist staff.

Davis is based at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College and will provide career planning and financial education services in Androscoggin and Oxford counties.

Davis lives in Oxford Hills and serves as a conference facilitator with the Restorative Justice Institute of Maine and as a volunteer advocate for Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services.

She has 20 years of experience working with individuals, families and communities in Western Maine, promoting health (physical, behavioral and mental) and wellness. Her interests include education and personal development, whole health, aging in place, and connecting people to resources and partnerships that increase quality of life. She will help provide savings opportunities and access to community resources through Lewiston/Auburn CA$H.

Davis will offer a variety of workshops and classes in Androscoggin and Oxford counties, free of charge.

Tuesday, Jan. 26 — Budgeting Basics Workshop, 1-3 p.m., at the Mechanic Falls Adult Ed Regional School Unit 16.

Thursday, Jan. 28 — Your Next Career Move, Tools to Get Started, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College, 51 Westminster St., Lewiston.

Thursday, Feb. 11 — Your Next Career Move, Tools to Get Started, 10 a.m.-noon, at Turner Adult Education, School Administrative District 52.

In Oxford County:

Wednesday, Jan. 27 — Clean-up Your Credit, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, 256 Main St., Paris.

Wednesday, Feb. 3 — Budgeting Basics Workshop, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, 256 Main St., Paris.

Tuesday, Feb. 9 — Clean-up Your Credit Workshop, 1-3 p.m., at Bethel Adult Education/School Administrative District 44.
