1937 – 2015
AUBURN — William John Fisher, 78, of Lewiston, died on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at the Hospice House.
William was born on July 12, 1937, to Harry and Helen Fisher of Lewiston. In his younger years, he played high school hockey. He graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of 1957. He loved his time that he spent in Alaska during his time in the U.S. Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, he graduated from CMVTI and worked for Northeastern Refrigeration Inc. for over 40 years. Later in life, William enjoyed camping, sports, especially baseball, being outdoors and mostly spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Suzanne (Couillard) Fisher; daughter, Jennifer Greener and fiancé, Chris Marciniak, of Virginia Beach, Va.; son, Robert Fisher and wife, Linda, of Auburn; daughter, Stephanie Fisher and fiancé, Dave Roberts, of Lewiston; five grandchildren, Hannah, Emily, Savanna, Abigail and Lucas; and two great-grandchildren, Chloie and Riley; sisters, Sally D. of Auburn, Sandra and husband, Bert Fournier of Westbrook, and Rosalie Baker of Clarksville, Md.
William is predeceased by his mother; father; three brothers, Harry, Jack and Bob; and two sisters, Nancy and Helen.
