STRONG — The Western Mountain Leo Club recently inducted 10 new members at the White Elephant. State Rep. Tom Skolfield, R-Weld, and state Sen. Tom Saviello, R-Wilton, lent a helping hand. Saviello is also a Lions member.

Leo Club adviser Janet White of Phillips spoke how many young adults in many countries are a part of the Leo Club internationally and what an honor it is to be a Leo.

LEOS stands for leadership, experience, opportunity and service.

Its number one fundraising effort is to help fire victims in the School Administrative District 58 area. The club is in the process of starting its first fundraiser. It will be selling raffle tickets for the winter season, with prizes donated by area businesses along with some theme park passes.
