DIXFIELD — The Board of Selectmen will continue discussion at its Monday, Jan. 11, meeting on whether to approve a maintenance agreement for a traffic signal replacement project at the intersection of Weld Street and Route 2.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the basement of the Ludden Memorial Library.
Town Manager Carlo Puiia said at the board’s Dec. 28, 2015, meeting that MDOT is offering to replace the traffic signal using federal money, but in return, they want the town to sign a maintenance agreement that would make Dixfield responsible for future maintenance.
Chairman Hart Daley recommended that the board wait until a representative from MDOT could attend one of their meetings to explain the reasoning behind replacing the traffic signal.
The board will also accept a resignation letter from Town Clerk Vickie Carrier, who recently announced that she will be retiring.
Other items on the agenda include:
*Updates from Police and Public Works departments.
*Update on the Wind Energy Facility Ordinance.
*Appointment of a code enforcement officer.
