1960 – 2016

AUBURN — Jeanne Cynthia Emery of West Gardiner passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, surrounded by her loving family.

Jeanne was born Dec. 6, 1960, to Harold and Cynthia Hobart of Bowdoinham. She attended Bowdoinham schools and graduated with honors in three years from Oak Hill High School in 1978.

On June 28, 1980, Jeanne married Bob Emery of West Gardiner in Litchfield, to whom she was married for 35 years. Through the years, Jeanne had several jobs but the one she loved the most was being a homemaker and caring for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Emery of West Gardiner; son, William of West Gardiner; daughter, Elyse and husband, Lee Galles, and their daughter, Bella, of Wales; her mother, Cynthia Young, of Litchfield; brother, Dee Hobart and wife, Linda, of West Forks; and sister, Joan Knowles and husband, Irving, of Litchfield. She is also survived by father and mother-in-law, William and Gertrude Emery of West Gardiner; sister-in-law, Diane Thompson and husband, Fred, of Gardiner; stepbrothers, Clifford Young and wife, Patty, and Bill Young and wife, Donna; and stepsister, Sharon Nadeau and husband, Doug.

Jeanne was predeceased by her father, Harold Hobart; and stepfather, Raymond Young.
