1943 – 2016

AUBURN — Jeannine M. Dumont, 72, of Auburn passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, in Auburn.

She was born on Feb. 28, 1943, to the late Charles and Bernadette (Guy) Morin. Even in her final days, she continued to enjoy her family: first husband, Gerard Gagne of Poland; daughter, Nancy Berube and husband, Denis; daughter, Linda Gagne and fiance, Rice Jones; and son, Gerry Gagne and wife, Michelle, all of Auburn. She was also surrounded by her many grandchildren, Casey, Sheena, Ryan, Elizabeth, Alandra, Dustin, Matthew and Danielle; and her great-grandchildren, Lucille, Brycen, Alexis, Vivian, Alivia, Lilah and Madeline. Jean also leaves behind her brothers, Charles and Paul; and sisters, Monique, Pauline and Doris.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, Richard Dumont; special aunt, Lucienne Moreau; sister, Gertrude; brother, Robert; and twin sister, Jacqueline.

We are grateful for all the fond memories, such as Wednesday lunches with the girls, bingo nights with friends, and all of the family dinners that ended in poker and Scat games. She played poker and lived her life by the same motto: “You can’t win if you don’t go in!” Her beaming smile and laugh will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Jean’s life work was as a loving caretaker and friend to many. She received the same special care from the staff of Clover in Auburn during her final years for which her family is eternally grateful.
