Church sponsors pancake breakfast
AUBURN — A pancake breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at St. Philips Church, Route 4.
The menu will include pancakes, sausage patties, fruit cups, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk. Cost is $6 for adults; ages 6 to 12, $3; and 5 and younger, free.
The breakfast is being sponsored by the family groups of the parish. The public is welcome.
Agencies to be at volunteer fair
LEWISTON — The Androscoggin Volunteer Administrators will hold a winter Volunteer Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at the Lewiston Career Center, 5 Mollison Way.
Many local agencies will be on hand to let people know how they can make a difference in the community.
They will be able to find out about Advocates For Children, American Red Cross, Beacon Hospice, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Catholic Charities-SEARCH, Community Concepts, Central Maine Medical Center, SeniorsPlus, Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Services, Androscoggin Human Society, Girl Scouts, Tree Street Youth and United Way of Androscoggin County.

Bridge club winners announced
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on Jan. 11 were as follows: first, Nancy Farmer and Luke Merry; second, Marta Clements and Dick Allen; third, Les Buzzell and Paul Clement.
Winners on Jan. 12 were: first, Paul Sherman and Mike True; second, Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier; third/first in B, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; fourth, Cindy and Bob Kirchherr.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is guaranteed and all bridge players are welcome. There will be no games on Monday, Jan. 18, due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
