1936 – 2016
LEBANON, N.H. — Charles T. “Chick” MacDonald, 79, of Berlin, N.H., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 21, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born in Rumford on Dec. 17, 1936, the son of the late James and Elizabeth (Eldridge) MacDonald and graduated from Stephens High School. He moved to Berlin, N.H., in 1970 and had been employed by Brown Company, James River Corp. and Crown Vantage, retiring in 1998. Chick was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He liked to travel, walk and enjoyed chatting. Family was very important to him.
Family included his wife of nearly 46 years, Doris (Sanschagrin) MacDonald of Berlin, N.H.; sisters, Frances Breau of Rumford, Ellen Fecteau and husband, Raymond, of Berlin, N.H., and Dorothy Sanschagrin and husband, Henry, of Gorham, N.H.; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, James MacDonald.
