From Telstar High School alumna Kelsie Hanscom: Since graduating from Telstar Regional High School in 2007, I went on to obtain my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Husson University in Bangor. After graduating with my doctorate, I took a leap and went to work in the St. Louis Region for SSM Physical Therapy, a company which has more 40 outpatient physical therapy sites in St. Louis and the Metro East. I have since specialized in vestibular rehabilitation, concussions and women’s health therapy. I have been able to create a comprehensive concussion management program for my company as the Concussion Program Manager. I also hosted my first ever continuing education event this summer with SSM Physical Therapy, St. Louis University and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital with over 50 clinicians in attendance including physical therapists, athletic trainers, nurses and a variety of physicians. This event was such as success we will be hosting it annually! I appreciate the opportunities I had at Telstar as well as the teachers pushing me to become my best.
