RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Henry Desroches was celebrated at noon on Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Parish of the Holy Savior, Saint Athanasius and Saint John Church, with the Rev. Greg Dube presiding. Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier.
Readings were proclaimed by Beth and Bob Watson. Prayer of the Faithful was given by Sarah Gilbert. Presenting gifts to the altar were Benjamin and Nicholas Harlow. Mark Belanger was the organist.
Special music prior to the Mass was “Danny Boy,” played by violinist Sara Gilbert. Other musical selections were “Hosea,” “Because The Lord Is My Shepherd,” and “Fly Like A Bird.” “Ave Maria” was sung by Donna Gilbert.
A reception served by St. Timothy Circle No. 504, Daughters of Isabella, was held in the church hall.
Interment in the spring will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Dixfield. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader and Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
