YORK — The wedding of Sarah Lyn Potvin and Tony Vincent Davis was held at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 at the Dockside Restaurant in York. The Rev. Erika Hewitt officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Davis is the daughter of Arthur and Regina Potvin of Auburn. Mr. Davis is the son of Jeff and Kricket Davis of Dixfield and Erik and Teresa Davis of Oxford.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown with illusion back and lace cap sleeves and she carried a bouquet of Gerbera daisies, roses, dahlias, miniature sunflowers, billy buttons, rosemary and wheat.
Amy Diegelman, friend, served as honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Buteau and Ashley Schumacher, friends.
Jeff Davis, father of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Sam Lobozzo, uncle, and Joshua Davis, brother.
A reception followed at the Dockside Restaurant in York, The couple is planning a trip to Italy in the spring. They are residing in Allen, Texas.
The bride received a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Maine at Orono in 2007. She also received her master’s degree in library science from Indiana University in Bloomington in 2011. She is youth services librarian at Allen Public Library.
The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in international relations and a bachelor’s degree in history from Boston University in 2007. He is southwest transportation manager for Nestle Waters North America.
