With a messy storm on its way for southern and central Maine, the Maine Principals’ Association announced Monday that Tuesday and Wednesday’s basketball tournament games have been shuffled to accommodate travel concerns.

Two Class D girls’ games originally slated for Tuesday morning have been postponed to Wednesday morning, with Temple and Highview starting at 8:30 a.m. and Rangeley/Greater Portland Christian now at 10 a.m.

In addition, the Class C girls’ quarterfinal between Madison and Traip has been pushed back to 1 p.m., followed by Richmond and Searsport at 2:30.

The Class AA girls’ and boys’ semifinals, set for 4, 5:30, 8 and 9:30 p.m. Tuesday remain on as scheduled.

Because of the movement, Wednesday’s schedule has been pushed back, as well. The Class D boys will follow the Class D girls at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Class A North girls’ and boys’ semifinals will begin at 4 p.m., with games at 4, 5:30, 8 and 9:30.
