TURNER—The first Cabin Fever Concert of 2016 will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the First Universalist Church of Turner Center. Rabbi Sruli and Lisa, sometimes known as “Hoot ‘n Annie,” a toe-tapping, joyous, story-telling, dance-inspiring duo, will bring old-world Klezmer music, known to enliven the spirit and produce happiness.

Sruli and his wife Lisa are international Jewish performers and personalities, and have been featured on PBS-TV and National Public Radio. They have headlined at Jewish Festivals from Cracow, Poland, to Jerusalem, Toronto to Texas. They have performed at theatres, JCC’s, synagogues, universities and schools as well as at hundreds of simchas. Together with their very talented children, they recently performed at Citifield for the N.Y. Mets.

The duo combine the best of many worlds — a scholarly background in Talmud and the law, delightful story-telling talent and tradition, musical virtuosity, a passionate Jewish spirit, and a gift for creating a happy and magical musical community.
