NORWAY — Oxford Hills SCORE is offering a workshop titled Platform for Sustainable Lending and Investing in Maine for startups and existing small businesses.
The purpose is to help participants understand how their loans and investment projects help create employment, income and ownership within Maine.
This workshop is free and will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Norway Town Office, 19 Danforth St.
The instructor, Jennifer Sporzynski, is senior program director at Coastal Enterprises Inc. in Brunswick. She has worked in community economic development since 1993. At CEI, she coordinates the delivery of the microloan program and oversees the business development services department.
She also serves on the CA$H Coalition of Greater Portland, volunteers as a tax preparer for CA$H and recently completed two full terms on the board of the Portland Development Corp.
Registration deadline is Friday, March 4. There is no charge to attend. For more information, contact SCORE at 207-743-0499. Returning veterans of the Armed Services are encouraged to attend.
