LEWISTON — “From Bandstand to Billboard” is a fun, and sometimes romantic, collection of big hits from Billboard Magazine and American Bandstand, from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. The widely-acclaimed show will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Dolard and Priscilla Gendron Franco Center in Lewiston.

The cast of last summer’s very popular musical revue at Poland Spring Inn and last year’s “Welcome to the Sixties” will revive this unique show at the Center. “From Bandstand to Billboard” features local singers and actors Renee Mahon Davis, Eileen M. Messina, Kay Warren, Gerry Therrien and Michael James Litchfield, accompanied by a big band.

The all-star orchestra, under the direction of pianist Paul G. Caron, features Michael French on guitar and vocals, Patrick Buzza on bass, Jeremy Turner on drums, Michael Plossay and Michael Truchon on trumpet, Bruce Theriault on trombone, and acclaimed musician Blaise Spath on reeds. The entire ensemble represents some of L/A Community Little Theatre’s most talented performers, with scores of productions here and in other places to their credits.

Tickets are $12, $10 for seniors (60+), and students are free. The Dolard and Priscilla Gendron Franco Center is handicap accessible. All proceeds to benefit the Franco Center.
