1938 – 2016

NORWAY — Joyce Arlene Delano, 77, of Norway passed away at her home surrounded by her five children on Sunday, March 6.

Joyce was born in South Paris on Oct. 26, 1938, the daughter of Samuel S. and Ernestine F. Keene Lobozzo. She graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1956.

She worked full time at Robinson Manufacturing while raising her five children. She had also worked as a secretary for Head Start and Community Concepts, was a library aide, a teacher’s aide at Oxford Hills High School and a Mary Kay consultant.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, decorating for Christmas and having many cookie decorating parties for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joyce loved to go on vacations, whether it be the many cruises she took to the all-inclusive resorts or just a leisurely weekend or midweek stay at her children’s camps or homes. She was always helping people in need. She was loved by all.

She is survived by her children, Michael D. Mills, Kenneth S. Mills, Dale K. Mills Jr., Diana L. Mills and Pamela Hicks; stepchildren, Terry Delano, Craig Delano and Trudy Stevens; her brothers, Jamie Lobozzo and David Lobozzo; her sister, Sally Harney; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm E. Delano; her parents; and her brother, Samuel Lobozzo Jr.
