1957 – 2016

LISBON FALLS — William (Bill) M. Hlister, 58, of Lisbon Falls died peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 3.

He was born in Portland on May 3, 1957, to John J. and Miriam (Robson) Hlister.

Bill graduated from Morse High School, Class of 1975. He was previously employed by Bath Iron Works, Stinson Canning Co. and the Slovak Club in Lisbon Falls. He enjoyed trivia, football, fishing, horseshoes and participated in dart tournaments and competition pistol shooting. He was a member of the Slovak Catholic Association, The Left Hand Club, Sons of American Legion and a lifetime member of the Bath Elks Club.

He is survived by his mother, Miriam R. Hlister of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Janet M. of Baltimore, Md., and Kathy Woodman and her husband, Brian, their sons, Jonathan and Thomas, all of Falmouth; and a brother, Glenn Gamrat and his wife, Darlene, of Sabattus and his children, Nick of Everett, Wash., and Jessica of Cape Coral, Fla.; and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, John J. Hlister Jr.
