There is a demonstrated need for housing for Maine’s senior citizens. It is no secret. The voters of Maine acknowledged that fact by approving a bond issue for housing for low-income seniors. But Gov. Paul LePage, who has often stated that he puts people before politics, has refused to release the funds.
I was raised to believe that what a person does speaks louder than what a person says. Therefore, it is high time for the governor to do what he says and put the seniors’ needs before his politics.
