BELFAST (AP) — Police say a Massachusetts man is dead after his car crashed into a brick building in Belfast.

The incident happened around 1 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Main and Church streets. Police say 51-year-old Vincent Scipione of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, hit a parked vehicle and then crashed into a building.

Scipione was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where he died on Sunday.

Police say Scipione was driving at a high speed before the crash.

No other injuries were reported. Authorities are investigating.
