The U.S. Postal service has put Acadia National Park’s Bass Harbor Head Light on a Forever stamp. It’s the first of 16 stamps celebrating the National Park Service’s 100th anniversary.
The USPS will issue the stamp June 2 in a first-day-of-issue ceremony at New York City’s Javits Center as part of World Stamp Show-NY 2016. Ceremonies also will take place at or near each of the National Parks depicted on the stamps.
The stamp image depicting the Bass Harbor Head Light was photographed by David Muench, according to a USPS statement.
